The mares dominate Sunday's races at Vincennes.

On Sunday 18th December 2022, 3 group 1 races under the saddle were held at Vincennes where mares won all 3.


Jessy De Banville won the Prix De Vincennes race for 3-year-olds under the saddle. Owned by François Pourrier and trained by Christophe Clin, Jessy was seen galloping at the beginning of the race and was with the backmarkers throughout the whole race. with 800 meters to go, her jockey Florian went on the attack, and with 300 meters left she was 3rd behind Jakarta Des Pres and Jubille Prior (where they finished 2nd and 3rd). with 100 meters left, Jessy was flying and was soon in front. She Crossed the line first with a time of 1'13"3/km.


This was Florian's fourth group race win and the first group 1 win. This was also the first group 1 win for both her owner and trainer.




The second group 1 race, Prix Jag De Bellouet, which was also a qualifier for the biggest race under the saddle in the yearly calendar the Prix Du Cornulier, was won by Julien Le Mer's Ideale Du Chene. Owned by Yvonne Guedj, was seen following the leaders throughout the race. With 900 meters Paul took the lead and kept it till the end. With 200 meters left, she was challenged by Ina du rib but as soon as Paul pulled down the blinders, his mare took off again.


The 2 favorites were both disqualified.




The third and final group 1 of the afternoon, the CORNULIER RACES Q2-PRIX BILIBILI, was won by Hanna Des Molles. Owned by Jean Louis Beraud, trained by Laurent Claude Abrivard, and ridden by Alexandre Abrivard, The mare was seen winning with an amazing sprint in the last 250 meters. Bilibili was also trained by Laurent and ridden by Alexandre. After Hanna s victory, Alexandre was full of emotion and with tears in his eyes. Laurent stated, "he gave us a lot". He also said that the mare will not be seen often under the saddle and will go for the big one in January. She likely won't be Barefoot on all four he added.


Hanna had a brilliant start and quickly found her place behind the leaders. The leader, Anthony Barrier with Hatchet Man, was setting a fast pace throughout the race. With 500 meters left, he gave up giving Happy and lucky the lead followed by Hanna des Molles. In the last 250 meters, Alexandre kept the inside lane and as soon as he let Hanna go, she exploded. With 100 meters left, Hanna was in front of Happy and lucky. Hanna set a time of 1'11"9/km. The same time set by Flamme du goutier in last year's Prix Du Cornulier.


This was Hanna des Molles' second group 1 win with the other being the Criterium for 3-year-olds in 2020.
