The Vincennes Winter Meeting, a premier event in European harness racing, will notably miss the presence of three distinguished horses: Jushua Tree, Horsy Dream, and Jeroboam d’Erable.
Jushua Tree, one of the favorites for the Prix D'Amerique in January, under the guidance of Jean-Michel Bazire, has demonstrated exceptional form with consecutive victories, including recent wins in the Group 2 Prix Doynel De Saint-Quentin, and the Prix Marcel Laurent. He was stopped due to lameness in one of his legs.
Horsy Dream, also one of the favorites, has also showcased impressive performances, notably in the prestigious Prix René Ballière and the Elitloppet earlier this year. He was forfeited in the UET Final in October due to health issues, and has not been seen since.
Jeroboam d’Erable, among the favorites to win the Prix De Cornulier, has been a formidable competitor this year (6 wins), securing victories in events like the Prix de Normandie. He has been diagnosed with a sprained knee following his disqualification from the Prix Bilibili.
Note: Hanna Des Molles (3 Group 1 wins last year) will no longer be seen racing. She was retired earlier this week following an unpleasant workout. She is now expected to be bred soon.
