Already qualified for the Prix D'Amerique in January, Gu D'Heripre, owned by Ecurie D'Heripre, trained by Fabrice Souloy, and driven by Francois Lagadeuc, confirmed his capability in the Prix De Bourgogne winning in 1'10"0 over 2100 meters.
His trainer explained that he would now go straight to the Prix D'Amerique and will not race in the Prix De Belgique in two weeks.
Prix De Bourgogne recap;
Benjamin Goetz's mare, Emeraude Du Bais gave an enormous performance finishing 2nd behind Gu D'Heripre. Favorite Ampia Mede SM finished 3rd.
Hussard Du Landret finished very well considering he had all four shoes on today. Horsy Dream ended 5th after a month and a half of absence. Then came the two Prix Cornulier favorites Flamme Du Goutier and Hanna Des Molles.
Phillipe Allaire's champion, Hohneck, finished 10th and was battling to keep up with the front runners later in the race after taking the lead just a few meters after the start. Last year's winner Hooker Berry finished 13th and looks like there is room for improvement
